Kids Place SUNDAYS

During Services NCCTK Kids Place

ADVENTURE CLUB

WEDNESDAYS 6:30 - 7:45 PM NCCTK Kids Place

Each service, whether morning or night, we follow the same schedule so the kids know what to expect and feel safe and secure! Every week we will sing songs, hear a Bible story lesson, play a game, meet in a small group, and make a craft! We hope to see your kiddos at Kids Place soon!

Take a look at our safe and clean rooms!

In KidsPlace, kids learn that they were created WITH a purpose FOR a purpose! They will learn biblical truths through stories, videos, games, puppets, skits, worship, prayer, service projects, bible study, and small group time.

KidsPlace is anything but boring.

RULES & IMPORTANT STUFF

RULES & DISCIPLINE

According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 we know that God has established a season for everything. Knowing that, we believe there is a time to play with children, a time for praying to God, a time to listen and learn from his word, a time to worship our heavenly father, and a time to apply what we have learned by serving others.

In order to provide the children with a safe and loving environment, the following self-discipline training plan will be in effect at all times to consistently teach our children appropriate behaviors for appropriate times. Please discuss these rules and consequences with your child as you prepare them to attend church.

CLASSROOM RULES

  • Sharing is important: Do not forget to do good to others. Share with them what you have. (Hebrews 13;16)

  • No Running: We are allowed to do all things – yes, but not all things are good for us to do. (1 Corinthians 10:23)

  • Use Inside Voices: It is good and pleasant when God’s people live together in peace. (Psalm 133:1)

  • Keep Hands and Feet to Self: Be kind to others. (Ephesians 4:32)

  • Use Listening Ears and Follow Directions: There is a time to be silent and there is a time to speak. (Ecclesiastes 3:7)

  • Do Not Leave the Room without Permission.

PLAYSCAPE RULES

NO RUNNING
NO SCREAMING
NO CLIMBING UP THE SLIDE
OBEY THE TEACHER(S)
HAVE FUN

PREVENTIVE ACTIONS:

CREATE A LOVING, CARING ATMOSPHERE
ESTABLISH AND COMMUNICATE REALISTIC,
AGE-APPROPRIATE EXPECTATIONS
FOCUS ON POSITIVE ACTIONS AND AFFIRM, AFFIRM, AFFIRM
BE FAIR AND CONSISTENT

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS & CONSEQUENCES

There are standard consequences when children do not follow the stated classroom rules. These consequences are as follows:

1st Time: Verbal reminder of the rule(s) given.

2nd Time: Leader will guide him/her to a quiet space separate from the other children for a short, but designated period of time.

3rd Time: Parents will be notified to pick up child.

It is rare that children get to the third interaction of the rules. Our childcare staff and teachers make every effort to re-direct children to appropriate activities and behaviors and seek to work with parents as a team. We want all of our children to be successful, regular members of their classes!
We want all children to feel safe in Children’s Ministry.

AGGRESSIVE BEHAVIOR

Biting, hitting, pushing, scratching or pulling are considered aggressive behaviors and will be addressed promptly. The safety of the children in our care is our top priority.

If a child displays any of these behaviors, he or she will be removed from the class and parents will be notified to pick up the child. A two time off from all Children’s Ministry programs/classes and events will commence.

Our discipline policy is really a discipleship process that allows us to demonstrate Jesus’ love. Although we may not like everything children do each moment, we ALWAYS love them. They need to hear and feel that from us often.
