Sundays 9am & 11am in the Children’s Ministry Building

Mini Adventure Club Wednesdays (Sept-March) 6:30-7:45pm in the Children’s Ministry Building

Lil’ KidsPlace provides a safe and loving environment for potty-trained children 3, 4 and 5 years old. It is located in the Children’s Ministry building (east of the main worship center) and has two rooms;

• The Mountain for kids who are potty trained and 3 years of age.

• The Farm Room for kids who are 4 & 5 years of age.

Children will experience God through hands-on Bible stories, fun worship, memory verses, games, prayer and group time. They will feel God’s love through a Bible-based environment that is creative, adventurous and exciting! Lil’ KidsPlace is a place that children will love to be!

Parents please read the Check-in & Security Policy so you know what to expect and to help make the process go as smoothly as possible. Teachers will be prepared to check your children into their classrooms 15 minutes before the start of the service and classroom doors close 15 minutes after service starts. If you arrive after this time, children can sit with you or you can sit in the Family Room and enjoy the service that way.

RULES & IMPORTANT STUFF

RULES & DISCIPLINE

According to Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 we know that God has established a season for everything. Knowing that, we believe there is a time to play with children, a time for praying to God, a time to listen and learn from his word, a time to worship our heavenly father, and a time to apply what we have learned by serving others.

In order to provide the children with a safe and loving environment, the following self-discipline training plan will be in effect at all times to consistently teach our children appropriate behaviors for appropriate times. Please discuss these rules and consequences with your child as you prepare them to attend church.

CLASSROOM RULES

  • Sharing is important: Do not forget to do good to others. Share with them what you have. (Hebrews 13;16)

  • No Running: We are allowed to do all things – yes, but not all things are good for us to do. (1 Corinthians 10:23)

  • Use Inside Voices: It is good and pleasant when God’s people live together in peace. (Psalm 133:1)

  • Keep Hands and Feet to Self: Be kind to others. (Ephesians 4:32)

  • Use Listening Ears and Follow Directions: There is a time to be silent and there is a time to speak. (Ecclesiastes 3:7)

  • Do Not Leave the Room without Permission.

CONSEQUENCES

There are standard consequences when children do not follow the stated classroom rules. These consequences are as follows:

1st Time: Verbal reminder of the rule(s) given.
2nd Time: Age-appropriate time-out in a time-out chair given.
3rd Time: Parents will be notified to pick up child.

It is rare that children get to the third infraction of the rules. Our childcare staff and teachers make every effort to re-direct children to appropriate activities and behaviors and seek to work with parents as a team. We want all of our children to be successful, regular members of their classes!

Aggressive Behavior:
Biting, hitting, pushing, scratching or pulling are considered aggressive behaviors and will be addressed promptly. The safety of the children in our care is our top priority.

If a child displays any of these behaviors, he or she will be removed from the class and parents will be notified to pick up the child. A two week time off from all Children’s Ministry programs/classes and events will commence.

Our discipline policy is really a discipleship process that allows us to demonstrate Jesus’ love. Although we may not like everything children do each moment, we ALWAYS love them. They need to hear and feel that from us often.

BATHROOM PROCEDURE

If a child needs the restroom, a female teacher will take the child to the preschool one located in the back hallway. The stall door always remains closed and the teacher stands outside the door until the child needs assistance. Only if needed will a teacher help a child button up pants, belts or pull up tights, children must wipe themselves. We then make sure the child properly washes and dries their hands before returning to the classroom.
