A message to our NCCTK family

If I’ve learned one thing in life, it’s that things change constantly, even in my own family. The same is true in our church family; people come and go all the time. Thankfully, I’ve also learned that God has plans and purposes for it all, and He is good through it all. He brings people in and out of our lives according to His timing and will; He is always at work.

So, we have some bittersweet news to share with you about Pastor Steve. Steve has had an exciting opportunity arise that he has decided to pursue. Steve has accepted a new position at Cornwall Church as an associate pastor. This is a unique role that will be different than his current teaching position here at NCCTK so he will get to learn and grow in other areas of ministry.

We have been so blessed over the last four years to get to know Steve, to learn from him, and to love and encourage him as he grew in his teaching ministry. Although we are sad to see Steve leave, we know that this is not only a part of ministry; it is an essential and good part because we believe God is in control. God uses seasons in the lives of pastors for growth and teaching and often moves people to new places for His purposes. Steve taught his last message on Sunday, Feb. 4.

We love Steve, we are for him, and we are so thankful for his four years of investment into NCCTK, especially having a rough start through the Covid era! We are thankful that we could be a chapter in the story of his ministry. And wouldn’t it be fun if he came and guest preached for us sometime? We’ve been blessed by him being here with us, and we want nothing but God’s best for him. After all, we are ONE church serving ONE God and we know Steve will do great things for His Kingdom.

We trust our good and loving God in this, we rest in His sovereignty, we know that God is working His plans and purposes in Steve’s life, and also in the life of NCCTK.

“And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.” —Romans 8:28

God’s goodness to you,

Pastor Kurt Langstraat
